Pakistan crushed New Zealand and South Africa beat West Indies in T20 WC Super 8 Matches

Pakistan kept their hope alive to qualify for the semifinals of 2009 ICC Twenty20 World Cup, in the Group F match of Super 8 round as they registered a big win of 6 wickets with 41 balls remaining against New Zealand while in the other match title favorite South Africa beat West Indies by 20 runs and to qualify for the Semi-Finals on Saturday, 13th June, 2009 at The Oval.

Umar Gul put best bowling figure of Twnety20 with 5 wickets for just 6 runs in 3 overs as Pakistan bowled out New Zealand on 99 runs and comfortably chased with 41 balls remaining.

New Zealand - 99 all out in 18.3 overs (Gul 5-6, Razzaq 2-17).

Pakistan - 100/4 in 13.1 overs (Shahzaib 35, Afridi 29*, Vettori 2-20).

South Africa continues their winning streak in 2009 T20 WC as the beat West Indies by 20 runs thanks to Kallis and Gibbs made 45 and 55 runs respectively and then Wayne Parnell took 4 wickets for 13 runs.

South Africa - 183/7 in 20 overs (Gibbs 55, Kallis 45, Taylor 3-30).

West Indies - 163/9 in 20 overs (Simmons 77, Parnell 4-13).
