1st knockout semifinals of 2009 ICC Twenty20 World Cup, will be played between title favorite South Africa and last world cup runner-up Pakistan on Thursday, 18th June, 2009 at Nottingham, Trent Bridge st
South Africa is unbeaten so far in the tournament nad they are really complete team and hot favorite to lift the T20 trophy. Jacques Kallis and captain Graem Smith giving good start at the top while Herschell Gibbs and AB de Villiers doing great in middle order. Albie Morkel and Roelof van der Merwe supporting well in both batting and bowling while Dale Stayne and Wayne Parnell pruducing enough pace.
Pakistan on the other hand not consistant in the tournament but some how managed to reach the semifinals. Their only hope for this match is Umar Gul's bowling who is getting reverse swing and took 5 wickets for just 6 runs , best bowling figure of Twenty20 cricket.
